We have a lot of landscape packed into our little part of the world. Cliffs, forests, beaches, lakes and the iconic Muckish and Errigal mountains, all surrounded by the Atlantic ocean. Ever-changing with the seasons, hours and weather.
Relax
Wake late, take your fill of the clean Donegal air, eat a leisurely breakfast. Wander the countryside and watch the landscape change with the weather and light. Take a long, hot soak in a seaweed bath. This is the perfect place to set a subdued pace and let the busy everyday fade away.
Escape
A short stroll or cycle away is the busy seaside village of Dunfanaghy. To the South are the iconic mountain peaks of Errigal and Muckish. On all other sides we’re surrounded by sea, beach, cliff, forest, gorse, heather and sand dunes.
Observe
The landscape changes from bright sunshine yellow to dusky heather purple with the seasons, and above us is a never-ending sky that hosts sunsets, storms, stars and the northern lights.
Roam
Within a short radius of Horn Head we have ancient forests, national parks teaming with wildlife, neolithic stone circles, Napoleonic towers, historic houses, breathtaking views and our special corner of the Wild Atlantic Way to explore.

Walk the Wild Atlantic Way at Horn Head
When Donegal was named “Coolest Place on the Planet” by National Geographic magazine, they also said that Horn Head was a “ ..walking or cycling loop that squeezes the 1,600 mile Wild Atlantic Way into a 4.5 mile nutshell”.
