Hospitality
As soon as you book we start working to ensure that your stay will be unique and tailored to you. We can arrange activities for you or just advise on how best to enjoy your time. Our aim is to look after you in a way that you won’t even notice so that you can focus on enjoying yourself.
The lounge areas are available throughout the day for guests to read, relax, play board games or simply sit at the fireplace and watch the weather changing. At 6pm evey evening, we serve pre dinner drinks, often a seasonal cocktail or local gin. This can be taken in the lounge area or on the terrace.
Nourishment
What's more relaxing than breakfast in bed ? Silently delivered into a specially designed private hatch, breakfast is ready and waiting for you to enjoy at your own pace in the peace and quiet of your own room, on the terrace or in the garden.
Your morning tray will vary based on the season but will always include our own home-made bread, pastries, butter and yoghurt, together with local produce such as organic smoked salmon and seasonal fruit. For lunch, we've got our backpacks with homemade picnics to keep you going during the day.
Sauna
Our little wood fired sauna in the garden is inspired by the ancient Irish ‘sweat houses ‘ which were once common in this region. It is designed for 2 and is entirely off-grid – using only stone, wood and water. It is a place to relax after your day’s adventures while looking at the surrounding countryside. We are delighted to have collaborated with local weavers, McNutts of Downings, to create our beautiful 100% Irish linen sauna towel - super soft and reflecting the beautiful colours of the plants and mountains visible from the sauna.
Materials
All of the quality materials used in Breac.House are natural, sustainable and, wherever possible, from the local area. We are lucky to have some of the finest stone, wool and crafts people on our doorstep, so you can experience the best in Irish design.
Products
Our philosophy is to collaborate with local makers and designers, sourcing the best quality materials from the area. The plates, bowls, throws, in fact almost everything at Breac.House, is made with Irish materials by talented local crafts people as well as other Irish makers.
