The power of a simple, traditional card is something we can forget about in the modern world of abbreviated texting and messaging. However, at this time of year, there is always a Christmas card that arrives before all others and something inside you knows that Christmas has begun.
To mark the end of our first season at Breac.House, and to respond to requests from guests for gift vouchers, we wanted to do something a little bit special. Over the last few weeks, we have had the pleasure of working with the wonderful Lynn Costello Erskine of The pear in paper. When looking for a collaborator for our gift vouchers, we naturally wanted to work with a Donegal based maker who shared our passion for all things local, sustainable and traditional. Lynn makes the most beautiful cards, prints and other paper products using her restored letterpress dating from 1872 - which she affectionately calls "Florrie". Lynn's story also resonates very closely with our own, including a desire to create world class sustainable businesses in this special corner of Ireland.
The result of our work with Lynn ( & Florrie) can be seen above - beautiful quality handprinted gift vouchers for the Breac.House experience. A simple card.
Breac.House gift vouchers are now available on our website at https://breac.house/vouchers.
