As well as being located in one of the most beautiful places in the world, we are also particularly blessed to be surrounded by so many makers, producers and artists in our adopted home. You will see our previous journal series entitled Creative Collaborations where we profiled many of the makers we have worked with to date at Breac House. While these businesses range from food producers to textile artists and wood carvers to weavers, they share a very special common DNA. Many are multi generational family run heritage businesses with very deep community roots and a shared ethos of celebrating the highest quality in craftsmanship, provenance, customer service and innovation.
We were therefore particularly delighted to host a particularly special photo shoot here at Breac House. On a blustery winters day, the team from Hanna Hats came to do a shoot for their new campaign. A now third generation hat making business based in Donegal town with a world wide following for their beautiful hats, Horn Head provided the perfect backdrop for their landscape inspired hats, scarves and accessories. For more details on Hanna Hats, their heritage and amazing product range and how to purchase your very own piece of heritage see the links below to a recent Irish Times piece and their own website.
